Technology Transfer Manager (FTC 18 months)
In this role you will have a real impact on manufacturing by leading and managing technology transfers of APIs and intermediates into the Takeda Grange Castle manufacturing site. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with Global Manufacturing Sciences to ensure products are transferred successfully and delivered on schedule.
How you will contribute:
Lead the Grange Castle cross-functional tech transfer program for small-molecule API and intermediate manufacturing in a matrix organization, including direct line management of key reports.
Build, own, and drive the end-to-end tech transfer schedule, ensuring alignment across functions and tracking delivery through effective reporting and dashboards.
Proactively manage risks and obstacles by identifying issues early, leading and participating in risk assessments, and implementing mitigation plans to protect timelines.
Run stakeholder communication and escalation by providing clear progress updates, flagging risks, and escalating critical items to senior leadership and Steering Committees.
Coordinate cross-functional execution and troubleshooting with QC, QA, Global and Site MS&T, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to maintain schedule adherence and resolve issues quickly.
Own regulatory readiness activities for on-site small-molecule manufacturing, serving as manufacturing and process SME and supporting inspections and audits as needed.
Ensure GMP, documentation, and change control excellence by managing required tech transfer and manufacturing documentation.
Maintain a strong safety culture through PHA and HAZOP support and action closure.
In this position you will report to the Head of Manufacturing (Small Molecule).
What you bring to Takeda:
Relevant degree in Engineering, Science, Chemical Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
10 years pharma manufacturing experience, including hands-on technology transfer.
Strong API GMP manufacturing expertise, with solid understanding of shop-floor manufacturing operations.
Deep knowledge of Quality and Regulatory expectations and how they apply to pharmaceutical manufacturing and tech transfer.
Project management capability in pharma operations.
Proven ability to perform under pressure, prioritizing and delivering across multiple conflicting tasks.
Preferably people supervision and management experience with excellent communication skills plus strong quality orientation and a safety-first approach.
