Welcome to our Day in the Life series, where we spotlight team members from across Takeda and dive into their unique career journeys. Meet Rari Hilditch, Communications and Engagement Lead—a former preschool educator turned certified coach, and a living example of what career growth at Takeda can look like. We sat down with Rari to hear how she helps cultivate our culture of lifelong learning.

What first drew you to Takeda?
I’m going to answer this through the career growth story that I share when speaking on panels. I used to be in pursuit of a job title, and climbed to a point in my career where I was separated from the things that actually bring me joy. I took a step back in my career to go back to the things that I love, and that’s what brought me to Takeda; best decision ever.
Can you tell us about your current role? What excites you most about your day-to-day?
My role is very diverse, and I get to put all different parts of me into it. There’s quiet time when I’m writing, and there’s social time when I’m facilitating or moderating events. I love being in a position where I’m helping others get to where they want to go, and the virtual space lets me talk to people around the world. The people at Takeda are some of the best I’ve been fortunate enough to work with.
What are some accomplishments you’re proud of in your role?
As an extension of my role, I’ve been the point person for the People Leader Development Team, which means I serve as the “red thread” for all our live events. Some of these responsibilities include setting up webinar platforms, logging learning hour credits and presenting. I’m also a core team member for Career Navigator, which is part of our talent management enabling platform and is just shy of being one year old. We just launched projects within Takeda, which is an exciting new space for people to explore possibilities and consider their career growth.
How has Takeda encouraged you to step outside your comfort zone?
At the beginning of my time here, I wanted to present to more than 300 people and have already surpassed that. I also serve as a mentor, and moving back into that space has allowed me to pull out some confidence that I’m going to help someone and watch them grow. I’ve also had the chance to step into the role of a people leader. Growth happens all the time at Takeda; this is the company for me.
