Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE
The role exists to manage compliances for Direct and Indirect Taxes. Engage and mentor the teams in accounting and taxes. The role requires the person to manage and be responsible for NPPA compliances such as filing quarterly statements, filing applications for price increase and other related compliances. Work closely with business teams to achieve business objectives.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Preparation and timely filing of GST Returns (GSTR-1, GSTR -3B, GSTR-6) on monthly basis and processing of GST related payments within the statutory timelines.
- Responsible for coordinating and providing details in required format to GST auditors for filing of GST Audit Report and Annual Returns and ensuring completion of the same within the statutory timelines.
- Responsible for performing reconciliation tax balances appearing in books with the government balances such as 26AS, GST 2A/B etc.
- Keep track of all relevant tax and regulatory changes and update relevant stake holders on key changes impacting the business.
- Drive key business and IT projects impacting the business and engage with relevant stake holders to drive Change management.
- Responsible for all relevant reconciliation between books and tax and regulatory filings such as sales, purchases, tax balances etc.
- Responsible for tracking notices received from tax authorities and ensuring appropriate replies being filed for the same within timelines.
- Responsible for all Income tax, TDS and Transfer pricing related compliances and advisory for the business.
- Engage with the relevant global and regional stake holder for tax planning and strategies and serve as a subject matter expert on India tax and regulatory environment.
- Providing the guidance to the organization on NPPA/pricing related queries.
- Co-ordinate with other business stakeholders such as legal, regulatory, medical affairs etc., and be responsible for drafting and filing replies to notices, letters etc. issued by NPPA or other such regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with consultants and law firms and keeping track of key developments in the industry and apprising the business on key changes.
- Filling of Form I,II, III,IV and V to NPPA/DPCO on regular/need basis
- Responsible for preparing tax related audit schedules and make tax related internal submissions
- Good knowledge of SAP
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Candidate must be Chartered Accounted with an overall experience of at least 6 to 8 years with subject matter expertise in taxation.
- Candidate must have a learning attitude with an ability to handle pressure, manage multiple stakeholders and work cross functionally.
- Candidate must have good communication and presentation skills with an ability to analyze data.
- Prior experience of handling NPPA compliances would be an advantage.
