Job Description

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • As a Senior Organizational Change Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the operational implementation of change management services to ensure a seamless experience during transitions.
  • This role is crucial in executing change management and communication strategies to support the adoption of new processes and technologies, aligning with Takeda’s digital ambitions and ensuring an exceptional end-user experience.
  • The Organizational Change Manager will engage with senior stakeholders to craft change narratives, conduct change impact assessments, and support program leads in planning roadmaps and deployments. This position demands a highly experienced change manager capable of driving strategic initiatives and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Change Management and Communications service delivery to effectively support change and provide an exceptional people experience. Services include (but not limited to): 

Change and Communication Service Delivery:

  • Lead end-to-end change and communication services for digital technology implementations.
  • Track effectiveness through standard KPIs and metrics.
  • End to End change & communications services for digital technology implementations
  • Track change & communications effectiveness through standard KPIs
  • Collaborate with communications team members to deliver exceptional user experience.

Change Management Execution:

  • Identify and mitigate organizational, process, system, and data changes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement improvements in change and communication methods.
  • Execution of defined communications and engagement activities to promote adoption.
  • Monitor the change based on process data and additional gathered information using data to identify the appropriate measures.

Project Management:

  • Apply the Project Management practices used in Takeda’s DD&T organization, in change and communications including, Project plan, Milestone Management, Status tracking and reporting, Deliverables Follow Up, Issue and Risk Management
  • Guidance and oversight of resources executing activities as required.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Implement continuous improvement ideas, leveraging lessons learned and user feedback.
  • Participate in OCM community activities to support internal collaboration and capability building.
  • Works with stakeholders to identify and implement improvements within change & communications methods.

Training and Development:

  • Execute training approaches within DD&T programs, including material development, effectiveness tracking, training ap[proach, TNA, Curriculum and collaboration with training team members.
  • Execute of the defined training approach

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:(List the essential and desirable education and competency requirements to perform the primary responsibilities of the job.  Any minimum requirements should be noted.)

Essentials

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in change management in a global setting, preferably within an IT function.
  • Proven ability to manage change in a diverse data and digital technology landscape.
  • Experience in managing change networks.
  • Experience in business partnering and providing support services internally to business stakeholders.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Master’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., Communications, Change Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, IS)
  • Experience in Pharma, End-to-End GxP projects and in SAP implementations initiatives is a plus

Skills

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise (Breadth and depth knowledge, on the application and complexity of technical projects) 

  • Experience with end-to-end change implementations for medium – large programs with knowledge of operational steps such as Change Impact Assessment, Change Action Plan, Communications Planning, Training Needs Assessment, Training Curriculum, Readiness Assessment, etc.  

Leadership (Vision, strategy and business alignment, people management, communication, influencing others, managing change)  

  • Driving participation from relevant Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to enable key decision making 

Decision-making and Autonomy

  • Create relevant plans and ensure end-to-end deliverables execution for the effective management of change.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders and team members to identify needs, objectives, risks and improvement opportunities.

Interaction (Engagement with others when performing the job, internal and external relationships) 

  • Establish relationships with key Stakeholders to ensure the success our services 
  • Innovation (Create/propose and implement new ideas, or solutions that bring significant positive change or value)
  • Ensure the Change Management and Communications practices offer different modalities to support effectiveness
  • Complexity (Products managed, mix of businesses, internal and/or external business environment, cultural considerations) 
  • Partner with Stakeholders and Change Management and Communications team to bring unique and complex organizational and process questions

Tools and Technology

  • Experience in communicating effectively to business and IT leaders 
  • Solid IT skills and a quick learner of new systems 
  • Open to new ways of working and applying new methodologies 
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experienced in using Change Management methods and tools to facilitate organizational change

Desired

  • Master’s degree in related specialization area (e.g. Communications, Change Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, IS) is desirable but not essential.
