Job Description
About the role:
The Biotechnologist II role focuses on converting raw materials and components into finished goods through various production processes. This position supports Takeda's mission by ensuring the efficient and compliant production of high-quality products.
How you will contribute:
* Perform general production manufacturing work
* Assemble finished components or parts into finished products
* Process manufacturing batches of bulk materials/ingredients, including mechanical and chemical processing
* Set up and operate machine tools to convert materials into parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies
* Conduct surface finishing of parts, components, and assembled items
* Package materials or finished goods into containers for protection, display, and handling
* Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals
Skills and qualifications:
* Applies basic Good Manufacturing Practices with guidance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Understands Product And Manufacturing Information, applying this knowledge under supervision in production settings.
* Participates in Continuous Improvement Process efforts, following established protocols to contribute to operational enhancements.
* Performs Quality Control tasks under supervision, adhering to predefined quality standards.
* Follows troubleshooting procedures to address production issues with minimal guidance.
* Collaborates with team members, contributing to team tasks and understanding team dynamics under supervision.
* Conducts routine equipment maintenance, following standard procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
* Assists in production planning, applying basic principles to support the development of effective production schedules.
* Adheres to safety compliance standards, applying basic safety knowledge in daily operations.
* Pays attention to details, aiming for precision in tasks under direct supervision.
* Optimizes production processes under guidance, contributing to efficiency improvements.
* Communicates effectively with immediate team members, focusing on clear and simple information exchange.
As this level you will apply basic analytical methods and operational processes to your work, following well-defined standard operating procedures. With a high school diploma and possibly formal certifications, you will tackle a variety of operational processes and resolve straightforward technical problems. Your role is a critical entry point in the technical support structure, requiring some working experience. In this role, errors are minimal and swiftly addressed, minimizing any impact. Your communication will primarily be with your immediate team, focusing on clear and simple information exchange.
