Job Description

Job Purpose

The HR & Communications Administrator provides professional administrative support across the Human Resources and Internal Communications functions.

This role requires strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a high level of self-motivation and accountability. The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, a collaborative mindset, and a strong interest in developing capability across Human Resources, Administration, and Internal Communications in alignment with Takeda-ism and site priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Support

  • Provide administrative support across all areas of the HR function, including Recruitment & Selection, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Training & Development, and general HR operations.

  • Support the administration of recruitment and selection activities in line with business requirements, company policy, and employment legislation.

  • Deliver a professional HR administration service by responding to employee queries and supporting managers in a timely and confidential manner.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files in accordance with GDPR and site policies.

  • Ensure HR systems are maintained and updated accurately (e.g., Workday, TMS, payroll systems, training databases, spreadsheets).

  • Provide administrative support in the maintenance and documentation of HR policies and procedures.

  • Support HR and Training projects as required.

Administration & Internal Communications

  • Provide administrative support across the Administration and Communications functions.

  • Assist in the coordination, design, and development of internal site-wide communications.

  • Maintain and update corporate imagery, photography, branding assets, and standard presentation materials in line with Takeda brand guidelines.

  • Support the preparation of internal communications materials and documentation as required.

General Responsibilities

  • Participate fully in cross-functional training initiatives.

  • Promote and demonstrate Takeda-ism and Takeda’s corporate values in all activities.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

  • Undertake additional duties as required by the Director, HR or other Officer appointed by the Board of Directors.

Education

  • Currently working towards or recently completed a third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Previous administration experience desirable.

  • Demonstrated understanding of general administrative processes and confidentiality requirements.

  • Experience working with HR systems or databases would be advantageous.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.

  • High level of organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Interest in media, publishing, design, or internal communications desirable.

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm, accountability, and willingness to learn.
