Job Description

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

  • Division head managesstrategy and culture.

  • Responsible for supply security of Narita products to patientsthroughefficient supply/production planning

  • Responsible for optimizingplantinternal supply chain to realize lead-time shortening, inventoryoptimization and cash-flow increase with AGILE mindset

  • Responsible for strategicneeds of product manufacturing, materialspurchasing, materialhandling/warehouse management. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • ManageNaritaplant production & supply planning, materialhandling/warehouse management, government report and facility management activities in cooperate with stakeholders suchas GMS-J Supply Chain Management, Plasma Operations and TOPS project, in order to achieveplant key performance metrics, suchas CSL(P)&(E), productivity, DIO and SCR

  • Create MRP supply/production plan, volume and inventory plan

  • Participate in Plant Supply Review meeting and Inventory meeting to contribute to supply security and cash-flow management

  • Develop future supply chain organization in cooperate with GMS-J Supply Chain Management

  • Manage production & supply planning relatedinitiatives, suchas BPR/APO implementationincludingorganizational design, AGILE and otherplantrelated task force projects

  • Develop people whohas production/supply planning expert knowledge, experience skill and so on, asnext generation Production Planning team leaders

  • Must havethorough knowledge of allaspects of product commercializationincluding project management, supply chain management, operations, outsourcing and post commercialization technical support.

  • Must haveexperiencemanaging teams for high performance.  

  • Must be able to presentideas with clarity, conviction and confidence.  

  • Knowledge – comprehensiveunderstanding of the pharmaceuticalindustry or relatedprocess manufacturing environmentin a large multi-national prescriptiondrugmanufacturer or relatedorganization.

  • Strategic Implementationability to implement and monitor the overall supply chain strategy through knowledge of company’s operations and procurement expertise, industry knowledge and competitive analysis.

  • Analytical Skills – ability to analyze a wide variety of data including COGS, freight, labor rates, duties, taxes, regionalpolitics to make strategic sourcing decisions and forecasted sales, historical demand, in-transit and potential stock-out figures to make daily management and production decisions..

  • Must have a strong network in outside/inside for outsourcing/technical/business leaders.

  • Coordinatestrategicmattersaround production with variousfunctions in Narita Plant, Narita Site Quality, Supply Chain Management

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • Bachelors degree in business administration or technical discipline

  • 10+ years' experience in at least two of the following cross-functional areas:  supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, manufacturing science, businessexcellence,project management, sales & marketing, quality, purchasing, finance,andlegal, including at least three years’ experience of the function leader.

  • Must have supply planning experience through ERP systems or other tools.

  • Proven record and ability to influence some critical decision making of senior management.

  • Creative and innovative mindset and skills to utilize both traditional and brand-new solutions.

(Preferable)

  • Business level writing, reading, and verbal communication skills both in Japanese and English

(EHS)

  • Preferred to haveexperience in managing team with applicable EHS perspectivessuchaswaste, waste water, exhaust gas, noise, GHG reduction, health, and safety. (5 years for department head and 3 years for Group Managers)

  • Preferred to haveexperience in ISO 14001/45001 management system to carry out continuousimprovement of site.

  • Allowances: Commutation, Housing, Overtime Work etc.

  • Salary Increase: Annually, Bonus Payment: Twice a year

  • Working Hours: Headquarters (Osaka/ Tokyo) 9:00-17:30, Production Sites (Osaka/ Yamaguchi) 8:00-16:45, (Narita) 8:30-17:15, Research Site (Kanagawa) 9:00-17:45

  • Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, May Day, Year-End Holidays etc. (approx. 123 days in a year)
