Job Description

Internship Summary:

We are offering a great internship opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of responsibilities related to business operations within Innovation Capability Center.
Your primary role will be to work with our ICSS Operations Team supporting the oversight of ICSS Portfolio, and working on analytics and automation needs that aids in more efficient tracking and reporting of ICSS Delivery Portfolio.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with analytics related to ICSS Delivery Portfolio
  • Ensuring information in the system is correct and accurate
  • Implementing new changes in the system, helping with data clean-up activities, and working with other stakeholders on related actions; and
  • Assist with providing information related to Capacity management of ICC Talent,
  • Participate in establishing and implementing new ways of working including but not limited to new frameworks, processes, best practices, and tools to facilitate a consistent reporting of ICSS Portfolio information;

The intern will have the opportunity to learn about and work with ICSS Operations team as well site leadership. This role will receive guidance and directions from the ICSS Operations Leads and will report to ICSS Operations Manager.

Internship Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding ICSS Business Operations and ICSS Portfolio management
  • Assisting in the design, implementation and management of related tools and dashboards
  • Evaluating existing processes, identifying process improvement opportunities, brainstorming solutions to process issues, and testing possible solutions
  • Collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to inform management decisions
  • Organizing shared content for stakeholders
  • Assisting with the implementation and adoption of related processes
  • Collecting and producing process documentation such as templates

Internship Qualifications:

  • You must be a current full-time student.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree candidates in relevant fields such as information technology, business administration, natural sciences, and economics, among others
  • Background or interest in project management, change management, business, software development and/or research
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize information
  • Excellent research skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Well-organized and efficient
  • Ability to work calmly and enthusiastically under high pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently as well as part of a team

Preferred qualifications

  • Previous entry level work experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of project management and related software
  • Familiarity and experience with project management software and other productivity tools

Duration and Location

  • This is a part-time, 6-months internship with flexible start and end dates based on the student’s availability and needs for the project.
  • This is a onsite-based internship with the option to work on home office arrangement
  • Takeda will provide a laptop for the duration of your internship.

Program Overview (for Internship):

The ICSS Operations team is part of the ICSS governance and its mission is to ensure visibility and clarity of ICSS Portfolio, Capacity Management and Reporting. ICSS Operations team drives transparency and consistency across various ICSS teams and works closely with several internal (ICSS) as well as external (other Takeda) stakeholders. The team is focusing on enhancing efficiencies and effectiveness, successes, transparency, communication, collaboration, productivity, analytics and reporting, and decision making.
