Job Description
Title: Lead, US Logistics Network Performance and Business Excellence
Location: Lexington, MA
About the role:
As a Lead, US Logistics Network Performance and Business Excellence, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing various supply chain processes to support business goals. You will also be developing and implementing strategies to improve logistics, production planning, and inventory management, contributing to Takeda's mission of delivering better health to people.

Support providing to global Distribution & Logistics (D&L) members, OpUs and BUs innovative bestpracticesonperformancemanagementandglobalreporting, actingasSubject Matter Expert (SME) on Distribution & Logistics (D&L) reporting, D&L Performance Management & Governance, QBR Framework and D&L Sustainability.
SupportmanagingthegovernanceonD&Lprojectsportfolio,D&LContinuousImprovement Program (training, CoP/CoE), process documentation (GOP, sGOP, Job Aids), D&L Communication (Newsrooms, Newsletters etc.), D&L sustainability Scope 3.
Performance Management
Lead D&L Performance Initiatives: Drive performance improvement initiatives in collaboration with BPO, management, and stakeholders.
Develop and Manage Metrics: Oversee the development, deployment, and management of local D&L metrics and target settings.
Support Performance Tools: Assist in the development of performance scorecards and KPI dashboards.
Conduct Performance Reviews: Lead regular performance reviews with Secondary Distribution 3PLs and LSPs.
Monitor Continuous Improvement: Oversee continuous improvement performance dialogues with internal stakeholders and provide guidance as needed.
Optimize CSLe Reporting: Lead/support US Customer Service Level external (CSLe) reporting and process optimization.
Oversee Distribution Network Performance: Manage the overall performance of the US domestic distribution network with cross-functional teams.
Implement QBR Framework: Support and drive the governance and implementation of the QBR framework with logistics service providers and business partners.
Governance
Manage Project Portfolio: Own the departmental project portfolio and act as the Project Management Office to support digital transformation.
Lead Continuous Improvement Programs: Drive training and participate in Communities of Practice (CoP) and Center of Excellence (CoE) learning sessions.
Develop Performance Dialogue Framework: Support the development of performance dialogue frameworks with operational stakeholders.
Lead Communication Efforts: Oversee departmental communication efforts according to global standards (e.g., Newsroom, Newsletters).
Drive Sustainability Initiatives: Lead sustainability initiatives and programs in collaboration with various stakeholders.
Data and Digital
Gather Business Requirements: Lead/support the gathering of business requirements for data and digital tools.
Utilize Digital Solutions: Support the utilization of North Stars and other digital solutions for the local market, including SAP ECC.
Leadership
Lead Squad: Guide and coordinate a squad of US DDL members towards specific goals in line with organizational objectives.
Make Autonomous Decisions: Make decisions regarding workflows, timelines, and methodologies.
Organize and Distribute Tasks: Ensure collaboration and timely delivery of objectives within the squad.
Track and Improve Performance: Monitor squad performance, provide feedback, and assess annual performance with the function head.
Facilitate Resources and Expertise: Ensure access to necessary resources and expertise.
Mentor Squad Members: Guide professional growth and skill development of squad members.
Technical/Functional(Line)Expertise
Expert in logistics and distribution processes – especially for the pharmaceutical industry.
Strong understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes & functions
Strong understanding of Manufacturing units/OpUs and commercial processes & procedures.
Very good understanding of GDP requirements.
Very good knowledge of Supply Chain and reporting systems and solutions (SAP, BI, Power BI etc.).
Decision-makingandAutonomy
A member of global, regional or local project teams– ensuring visibility and transparency on the distribution network performance of all Takeda products.
A member of other governance bodies on product launches, suppliers performance reviews – sup- porting decision making on products flows from a logistics point of view.
Good capabilities to analyze data to prepare & enable decision making on global and regional level in a matrix organization.
Good stakeholder management capabilities across all organizational levels (local, regional).
Strong capabilities to bridge Commercial & Manufacturing organizations.
Strong capabilities to influence senior management and manage ambiguity.

What you bring to Takeda:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, finance, supply chain management or similar degree, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5-8 years of prior relevant experience in Distribution and Logistics management or Operations.
Strong communication skills to manage stakeholders across levels & across countries .
Very good business acumen & financial analytics skills.
Strong ability to analyze a wide variety of supply chain data to make process improvement decisions.
Strong ability to present ideas with clarity, conviction and confidence
Strong capability to manage ambiguity, find pragmatic solutions & align/influence key stakeholders.
Strong portfolio management skills (PMI certification is a plus)
Very good Supply Chain systems knowledge (SAP MM/SD/FI, customers and supplier collaboration solutions, BI solutions etc.).

Lexington, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
$137,000.00 - $215,270.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
