About the role:

As a Business Operations and Projects Lead, you will be responsible for leading teams and processes associated with the supply, storage, transportation, and distribution of equipment, materials, and goods used and produced by the organization. You will ensure the implementation of strategies that align with global objectives and have a long-term impact on business results. Lead cross-region strategic projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional teams to address complex technical and lifecycle challenges that impact product availability and sales.

How will you contribute:

  • Manage system requirements, testing, and support for Supply Chain Management (SCM) while acting as the key interface between DD&T, Global BPLs, and functional teams to prevent service disruptions and support global and US-based initiatives.

  • Serve as the US Supply Chain Launch Coordinator, overseeing product launches (including Puerto Rico) and ensuring smooth execution of commercial products. Manage projects focused on process optimization and system implementation.

  • Analyze business needs, document objectives, and lead process development/optimization, including UAT (test plans/scenarios).

  • Provide system expertise (SAP ECC, SAP e-commerce, IBP, etc.), act as a superuser, and deliver training.

  • Drive continuous improvement and reporting aligned with business planning cycles.

  • Implement standard RSCC processes and ensure uninterrupted, compliant product supply.

  • Manage non-routine supply (e.g., Early Access, Named Patient Programs, NSSR).

  • Provide training on systems, processes, and global supply chain roles.

  • Support system updates, enterprise rollouts, and represent RSCC in global teams/CoEs, sharing changes with internal stakeholders.

  • Align US Regional Supply Chain with global launch processes and represent US RSCC in Global Launch Alignment Meetings.

  • Support SCN Flow development (SAP Product Flow SME).

  • Collaborate with Customer Care, Distribution/Logistics, Pricing, Commercial Quality, and Finance to ensure seamless execution of lifecycle changes.

  • For lifecycle management, coordinate US product changes (including updates to setup, packaging, labeling/artwork, or changes to product flow).

  • Serve as the primary contact for US Commercial product master data.

  • Member of the Master Data Governance Council, ensuring data accuracy, with a focus on US processes and systems.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum. Master’s in Supply Chain Management, MBA, or equivalent (preferred).

  • 4-5 years of leadership experience in business, operations, or project management.

  • 4-5 years of leading with direct and indirect influence.

  • Proficiency in SAP ERP and process improvement, with experience in a global pharmaceutical company.

  • Digital commerce expertise (preferred).

  • Certifications like PMI and/or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt (preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes, systems, and continuous improvement (e.g., lean practices).

  • Expertise in project management and the ability to coach and train others on systems and processes.

  • Skilled in translating business processes into technical requirements for IT.

  • Skilled in navigating complex systems, troubleshooting, and collaborating with IT for solutions, with an emphasis on enhancing customer experiences and adapting to new technologies.

  • Advanced skills in analyzing complex issues, critical problem-solving, and enabling decision-making while managing multiple projects and ensuring business results.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$137,000.00 - $215,270.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
