Job Description
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
The HR Partner’s principal area of impact is in shaping the culture of the organisation and implementing people strategies to achieve the business priorities.
- Be a strong partner to all of the business leaders to influence and support HR related matters.
- Support the division heads and people managers to manage their people strategy and culture.
- Support organisation effectiveness by developing and implementing solutions aligned to strategy.
- Lead the HR vision, including role modelling great personal and team leadership and taking an active role in ensuring the HR operating model is embedded successfully.
- Drive the people side of change
DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS
Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise(Breadth and depth of knowledge, application and complexity of technical knowledge)
- In-depth knowledge in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and Labor Laws etc.
- Extensive practical experience in the areas of Talent Acquisition, Training, Organization Development, Coaching, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefit, and Labor Relations
- Fundamental knowledge in Finance and Accounting, Legal, Operations, Business Statistics, and Innovation
- Objective and fair judgement ability with analytical and logical thinking skills and multiple viewpoints
Leadership(Vision, strategy and business alignment, people management, communication, influencing others, managing change)
- Lead HR operations by involving other HR functions such as COEI, PAG, and TBS etc.
- Take initiatives for all HR operational changes with HR perspective and expertise
Decision-making and Autonomy(The capacity and authority to make organizational decisions, autonomy in decision-making, complexity of decisions, impact of decisions, problem-soliving)
- Make operational decisions as per the policies, guidance, and direction of HRSL
- Provide deliberate suggestions from various angles with HR expertise and business acumen
Interaction(The span and nature of one’s engagement with others when performing one’s job, internal and external relationships)
- Maintain good relationship with employees, managers, and other functions to contribute to gaining trust as the site HR team
- Interact proactively with GMS/GQ HR community, regional COEI, PAG, and TBS to stay updated
- Keep and explore external network to get familiarized with HR trends, solutions, and innovation
Innovation(The required level of scientific knowledge, knowledge sharing, innovation and risk taking)
- Lead data utilization on people insight to provide better employee experience and problem solving measures with statistic implications
- Take and share HR best practices in the internal and external community
Complexity(Products managed, mix of businesses, internal and/or external business environment, cultural considerations)
- Support such various clients as Osaka-site, Narita-site, GMS & GQ Japan, and other global functions in GMS and GQ
- Work closely with different HR functions such as COEI, PAG, and TBS etc.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor degree, Business, Management, and Human Resources are preferred.
- Extensive relevant HR experience (generalist or specialist) gained in large complex organization(s) with multiple stakeholders (including matrix relationships). Ideally previous industry related experience, international company experience, multi-cultural environment.
- Minimum of 5 years HR generalist/specialist and/or HR Business Partner experience
- Result oriented and able to develop plans/solutions and to deliver expected results even in ambiguous circumstances
- Skilled in developing HR plans/initiatives and aligning people management practices
- Ability to manage and interpret employment laws into pragmatic solutions and navigate line management through its complexities
- Analytical and problem solving skills along with the ability to make timely and balanced decisions
- Business communication, negotiating and influencing skills demonstrated by the ability to use a range of different approaches, to persuade others and to gain acceptance of proposals and decisions
- Openness and flexibility to deal with and communicate change effectively
- Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong interpersonal skills combined with cultural sensitivity
- English communication
- Strong ability to influence indirect authority

Takeda Compensation and Benefits Summary:
Allowances: Commutation, Housing, Overtime Work etc.
Salary Increase: Annually, Bonus Payment: Twice a year
Working Hours: Headquarters (Osaka/ Tokyo) 9:00-17:30, Production Sites (Osaka/ Yamaguchi) 8:00-16:45, (Narita) 8:30-17:15, Research Site (Kanagawa) 9:00-17:45
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, May Day, Year-End Holidays etc. (approx. 123 days in a year)
