POSITION: Enterprise Data Service Engineer
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Enterprise Data Service Engineer with the following duties: Manage and influence technical analysis, design, development maintenance and configuration of complex and non-routine data and lead the analysis, definition and design of data and the data architectures; contribute to and take responsibility for creating future state roadmaps for complex data architectures, data explorations, data analyzes and data modelling; responsible for designing, provisioning, troubleshooting and integrating data analyzing systems; monitor, troubleshoot and test devices and systems by utilizing various tools that stake holders may encounter; use specialized in-depth knowledge of advanced data stores and analysis technologies, consult with Takeda data specialists and researchers; contribute to and take responsibility for creating future state roadmaps for complex data architectures, data explorations, data analyzes and data modelling; make recommendations for data architectures, data analyzing methodologies and technology by using deep understanding of data industry trends, data analyzing possibilities, data roadmaps and strategic data plans; guide decisions with projects and other IT groups by using persuasion and negotiation skills to reach agreement on approach and implementation; oversee the impact of health datasets requests to support data investigations; apply System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) to solutions and lead others to work accordingly; ensure the codification of data documentation aligned to Takeda Quality Management System (QMS), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT Project Life Cycle (ITPLC) standards, policies and procedures; demonstrate advanced tooling and techniques to other engineers and traditional analytics organizations throughout the company; maintain up-to-data knowledge on modern data technologies, explores new platforms and beta tooling; represent the team while working on projects; act as an internal and external expert to-go-to in how to drive advanced Computer Science and Engineering skills and techniques.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: Utilize Mainframes, Cobol, DB2, MySQL, VSAM, JCL, IBM Utilities, JavaScript, Java, J2EE technologies like servlets/JSP, Java Struts Enterprise system architecture, Software quality management system, CSS, HTML, XHTML, JTA for managing transactions across JMS Queues; Use Cisco Works LAN Management Solution, Cisco Mobile Wireless Transport Manager, Telecordia Granite Inventory & WebXng, Nokia 5620 Service Aware Manager, Spirent Test Center Live Test and Diagnostics; Configure and provision Nokia FSM4, Nokia 7750, Nokia7705, Cisco 2941, Cisco 7609 routers, Cisco 2941/7609, Nokia 9370/Ericsson 3810 RNC, Tellabs 8605/8860, Citrix ICA Client Tools and Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server, Private Cloud, Public Cloud, Networking, Security; Develop tools using XML, VB.Net, Unix shell scripting, Python; Define user needs, provide input to functional design, testing, and troubleshooting, using programming languages C#, VC++, Data Center, Private Cloud, AWS Cloud services, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Visual Basic, .Net, SQL Oracle; Use Ericsson and Nokia 4G/5G RAN deployment process and procedures, and implement automated procedures and tools for design configuration of base stations (including new site builds, carrier additions, Network Element Migrations, and operations for CDMA, EVDO, WCDMA and LTE Technologies, Networking, Security, Data Center, Private Cloud, AWS Cloud Services, Microsoft Azure, Office 365, MySQL, Postgres, Python, Shell). Up to 20% domestic & international travel required.
Full time. $215,000 - $285,600 per year. Competitive compensation and benefits.
