Job Description
About the role:
As the Manufacturing Training Manager, you will develop and execute the manufacturing training strategy, including onboarding, curriculum management, and resource planning in collaboration with Business Excellence and Manufacturing leadership. You will oversee training effectiveness, scheduling, and delivery, while ensuring compliance through accurate tracking, qualification assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will support quality systems by addressing training-related actions and represent the training function during audits to ensure regulatory readiness. You will report into the Head of Manufacturing.
How you will contribute:
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing training by identifying and addressing gaps in systems, documentation, content, and organizational structure
- Foster cross-site collaboration to align training practices and share best-in-class methodologies
- Lead site-wide initiatives to enhance operational efficiency using DMAIC and Lean Six Sigma principles
- Ensure achievement of training objectives while following budgetary constraints
- Execute and close out GMP investigation and CAPA action items related to manufacturing training
- Set departmental training goals aligned with broader site objectives and performance metrics
- Facilitate regular meetings with trainers and supervisors to promote communication, alignment, and engagement
- Ensure all manufacturing personnel are fully trained and demonstrate competency in cGMP and SOP requirements
- Deliver training to manufacturing trainers and associates on operational expectations, procedures, and Lean principles
- Maintain, update, and improve training materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness
- Ensure training records are accurate, complete, and compliant with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Provide timely, constructive feedback on training performance and development opportunities
- Promptly escalate quality concerns to supervisors and Quality Assurance
- Promote and enforce safe work practices and behaviors across the manufacturing floor
- Participate in the recruitment process by assisting with interviews for manufacturing associate candidates
- Collaborate with supervisors to set goals and mentor qualified trainers for ongoing development
- Complete all mandatory training within the required timelines
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (preferred in life sciences, education, or instructional design)
- 5+ years leading people
- Experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulated manufacturing environment

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
