Job Description

Job Title: Data Visualization & Analytics Engineer

Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

About the Role:

As a Data Visualization & Analytics expert, you will enable the site's data and AI journey through extracting actionable insights, leveraging statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques to inform and support data-driven decision-making in daily operations, business growth and transformation. You will report to the Head of DD&T.

This is a hybrid position.

How you will Contribute:

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights focused on site/ function priorities applying GMS/GQ-endorsed platforms
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis and data mining to uncover opportunities for process optimization and feature improvements.
  • Perform A/B testing and statistical analysis to assess the impact of changes and features on digital products.
  • Ensure data accuracy and reliability in all analysis activities through validation checks and collaboration with data engineers and GMS/GQ data ecosystem
  • Create and deploy integrated digital solutions to automate / improve business processes and gather data from which insights can be gained.
  • Develop dashboards and reports, delivering actionable near real-time insights and drive user engagement applying GMS/GQ-endorsed platforms.
  • Create intuitive data visualizations and presentations that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure data consistency and integrity across all visualizations, observing best practices and aligning with global data standards.
  • Partner with global and local teams to integrate site data into a unified data ecosystem, driving standardization and reducing data fragmentation.
  • Lead efforts to raise analytics standards through participation in communities of practice, promoting best practices, re-use and scalability in data analysis and visualization across the network.
  • Champion data literacy, digital skills, and analytical thinking within the site
  • Align site visualization and analytical needs through multi-year roadmaps
  • Contribute to SAFe processes, supporting agile, efficient delivery of scalable data solutions across teams.

What you bring to Takeda:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience in data analytics.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, demonstrating proficiency in data analysis tools, programming languages, and data visualization tools
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL for querying databases, Python for statistical analysis and automation, JS/Typescript for FrontEnd).
  • You will have experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights through effective data storytelling.
  • You will have experience in no/low code data science/ intelligent automation platforms (e.g., Dataiku, DataRobot, PowerAutomate, PowerApps) to scale data science workflows and automate processes.
  • You will have experience with data governance practices to ensure data quality by design and strong understanding of digital product metrics, user behavior analysis, A/B testing, and leveraging these insights to drive product optimization and user engagement.
  • You will have proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data translators and business stakeholders, to align data science initiatives with strategic objectives.
  • You will deploy, monitoring, and refining predictive models and algorithms to drive continuous product improvements and strategic decision-making.
  • Openness to working in agile environments with multiple stakeholders, experienced in SAF methodologies
  • AWS/ Microsoft certified in Data Analytics or equivalent

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to deliver quality products. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product. In this role, you may:

  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
  • Work in a cold, wet environment.
  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
  • Access to transportation to attend meetings.
  • Ability to fly to meetings regionally and globally.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$86,500.00 - $135,960.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
