Position: Solution Architecture in Track and Trace (T&T)

Summary
As the team lead of T&T solutions T&T (including SAP Advanced Track and Trace for Pharmaceuticals/ATTP and TraceLink)), you will lead a team responsible for designing, developing, and implementing serialization and traceability solutions across Takeda’s pharmaceutical supply chain. Your focus will be on leveraging SAP ATTP and TraceLink to ensure global regulatory compliance, end-to-end product traceability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Leadership:
Oversee T&T solution architecture (incl. but not limited to SAP ATTP and TraceLink), ensuring alignment with business needs and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical serialization and track & trace. - Strategic Design:
Define end-to-end architecture for serialization processes, integrating SAP ATTP with enterprise SAP ERP, as well as with any other middleware solutions used to exchange data with external partners (e.g. TraceLink) manufacturing, packaging, and partner systems. - Implementation Oversight:
Lead delivery teams (internal and external) in designing, configuring, and deploying T&T solutions for global deployments. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure solutions comply with global serialization regulations (e.g., US DSCSA, EU FMD, Russia, Brazil, etc.), maintaining a strong partnership with Quality, Legal, and Compliance teams. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, IT, and external partners to translate business requirements into effective architecture and solution designs. - Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on T&T roadmap, industry trends, and emerging serialization requirements. Drive innovation and recommend optimizations. - Technical Governance:
Establish and promote solution architecture standards, best practices, and documentation related to T&T within the organization. - People Management:
Hire and manage a team.
Supervise and mentor solution architect and software engineers, providing guidance on T&T capabilities, technical issues, and architectural decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in solution architecture or technical leadership roles in SAP ATTP area (or in SAP close related area), TraceLink.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ATTP (Advanced Track and Trace for Pharmaceuticals), and TraceLink including architecture, deployment, and integration. Prior experience and/or knowledge of ABAP technical language is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical serialization and T&T matters in general, global regulatory requirements across several juridictions (e.g. US DSCSA, Russia, EU) , and supply chain processes.
- Proven experience managing and/or leading IT teams in a global and/or matrixed environment. Ability to discuss and negotiate effectively with software provider.
- Expertise in SAP ERP (ECC, S/4HANA), interfaces (IDocs, EDI), and integration tools (SAP BTP-IS, SAP Cloud Platform Integration), TraceLink. Knowledge of any other middleware solutions used to T&T is considered as a plus.
- Very good command of English, strong communication skills with a proven ability to translate complex technical matters to a non-technical audience, stakeholder management with the capacity to identify risks and propose mitigation plans, project leadership skills.
- Experience in a regulated environment (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, etc.). Experience with standard IT tools used in GxP environment including (but not limited) to Veeva, ServiceNow, ALM considered as a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a large pharmaceutical manufacturing company.
- SAP certification(s) in ATTP and other relevant modules (e.g ECC)
- Working knowledge of MES, LIMS, and other pharma manufacturing or quality systems.
- Familiarity with cloud solutions (e.g. other middleware solutions used in T&T project)
- Experience leading cross-functional and remote teams.
- Business acumen, with an ability to not lose sight of the big picture and deliver solutions according to the business needs.
