Job Description

Job Title:Business Unit Head Rare Diseases

Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and execute competitive Business Unit strategic plans and tactics in close cooperation with cross-functional team members

  • Establish a financial plan including units, sales and expenses in alignment with overall financial planning process and be accountable for achieving the forecast

  • Ensure brands, competition, market dynamics and levels of growth are analyzed on a regular basis and develop view on brand issues, market development, competitive positioning, customer segments and needs

  • Optimize results at every level through the development and implementation of strategic sales management in response to marketplace conditions including managed care and the competitive environment

  • Support Business unit as a sustainable competitive advantage within the pharmaceutical industry

  • Translate key financial plan drivers into specific, measurable and executable action plans for sales management and field force employees. Communicate and reinforce expectations around plan performance, marketing/sales strategy, and field sales force tactical execution plan at management and sales meetings

  • Develop, prepare and execute future launches as per plan with strong support and alignment of cross functional team

  • Co-develop, cross functionally, with market research and brand teams the key market trends and projected sales plan that directs the field forces toward achievement of company forecast and objectives

  • Expand products by innovative commercial programs and high-quality education programs for health care stakeholders

  • Identify, develop and maintain professional relationship with key customers, KOLs and scientific societies, identify new opportunities and ways to better meet customer needs, serve as role model in terms of customer orientation, to develop a high performing customer centric organization

  • Provide input for the development of products and anticipate customer need / solution approach

  • Apply broad knowledge and seasoned experience to address complex, critical issues, establish policies and plan procedures across sales function

  • Manage and monitor Field Sales Operating Budget. Develop guidelines for sales budget maintenance and gaiting. Measure regional performance against approved budget and actual performance

  • Provide leadership, direction and motivation to employees that enable them to achieve business objectives while enjoying a healthy work environment

  • Organize, control and coordinate inputs relating to staffing, training, developing and retaining of employees in BU

  • Co-develop (with Human Resources) implementation of retention, development, and diversity plans

  • Develop, implement, and manage all field force incentive and reward programs as well as customized sales force analysis to effectively manage optimal targeting, call planning, resource allocation, and performance evaluation within BU

  • Oversee and evaluate compliance of all Company policies

  • Act as key driver to strengthen reputation of Takeda in the country

Requirements:

  • A strategic yet hands-on approach, with the ability to operate with autonomy

  • Inspirational leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams

  • Bring a solution driven mindset

  • Gravitas, commercial credibility, and confidence in engaging senior stakeholders

  • In-depth knowledge of the Kazakhstani pharmaceutical market
