Job Description
Position Overview:
The Head of Digital Health Platform is responsible for designing, executing, and evolving the platform strategy that enables compliant, scalable, and impactful digital health products across their full lifecycle. This role defines how teams are structured, how digital products are developed and maintained, and how platform architecture is shaped and evolved as part of the broader platform strategy function—spanning legacy systems, current delivery needs, and future product capabilities.
As a strategic and operational leader, you will own the cross-functional model for platform enablement, team and product structuring, and governance. A holistic approach—connecting people, systems, and processes—is essential to accelerate innovation and enable sustainable delivery. This role is also responsible for shaping how the success of digital health products is defined, measured, and used to drive continuous improvement and global scaling.
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE: (3-4 bullets)
The primary focus will be to:
• Define and execute a platform strategy that supports the development and scaling of digital health products across therapeutic areas.
• Oversee platform architecture to ensure alignment with product delivery needs, scalability goals, and long-term platform vision.
• Build and continuously evolve the operating model for how digital teams are formed, supported, and governed.
• Establish scalable, compliant systems for content creation, localization, and lifecycle management.
• Shape how success is measured across digital health products, and use those insights to refine platform capabilities and team support.
•Drive collaboration across product, tech, clinical, regulatory, and enterprise functions to align around shared digital product goals.

Platform, Architecture & Operating Model Strategy
• Set overall platform strategy and design and be accountable for ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
• Outline vision, investment, and value case for platform strategy and communicate to senior stakeholders.Define and lead the strategic direction of the digital health platform to support current and future product needs.
• Oversee platform architecture in collaboration with engineering and enterprise IT, ensuring system design decisions align with delivery models, compliance needs, and scalability requirements.
• Develop and refine the cross-functional operating model for digital product development, including team design, workflows, and governance.
• Ensure holistic alignment between architecture, tooling, delivery practices, and strategic business goals.
• Establish and maintain governance structures and best practices with the business and internally for platform services.
• Direct long term planning and development programs, and the appraisal of the program portfolio management against the business strategy, budget available, and value delivered.
Cross-Functional Delivery
• Act as a connector across product, clinical, regulatory, engineering, data, and enterprise IT teams.
• Initiate shared services and developer experience projects to reduce friction in the development.
• Shape ways of working that promote autonomy while maintaining alignment.
• Ensures that technology delivers new and enhanced products/services required by the business, while protecting the integrity of existing products/services.
Governance, Success Measurement & Continuous Improvement
• Define how platform success is measured—across clinical, operational, and user dimensions—and integrate learnings into platform evolution.
• Implement feedback loops and platform performance metrics to drive systemic improvement.
• Own platform strategy, ensuring sustainable innovation.
• Strategic leadership of complex, scalable digital health platform infrastructure
• End-to-end ownership of platform operating model, tooling, content systems, architecture, and product success evaluation
• Hands-on orchestration of alignment across clinical, technical, regulatory, and product stakeholders
• Holistic integration of platform and team organization to enable sustainable product delivery
Education / Experience:
• Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., health innovation, product management, technology, business)
• Proven experience in digital health, platform strategy, or product operations in healthcare
• Experience designing and leading cross-functional delivery systems, including architectural oversight and outcome evaluation
• Strong communication skills with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with product development methodologies and organizational design
