Job Description
About the role:
The Site Capital Lead is recognized within Takeda as subject matter expert (SME) for the manufacturing facility for all Capital portfolio management and project delivery activities. You will be responsible all capital program and project activities within the Site Engineering function. The Site Capital Lead ensures that the Capital Projects team is staffed with the appropriate skills to meet all Site Engineering functional goals. You will establish an efficient capital delivery organization focusing on right first-time delivery and following industry best practices to meet the strategic needs of the Takeda Manufacturing Plant. You will also ensure that all capital projects result in fit for purpose assets which meet the business requirements (safety, functionality, capacity, capability, and reliability). You will report into the Head of Site Engineering at the manufacturing site.
How you will contribute:
- Initiate and lead the long-range planning activities for all capital projects associated with the facility and review / amend as necessary to meet the current and future business needs, including MRP and MYC processes and gains alignment with OpU/Regional Capital Lead
- Deliver annual site capital program budget/spend according to agreed targets.· Consult with site stakeholders to ensure their current and future capital needs are identified, defined and prioritized
- Challenge the site stakeholder's potential capital needs with respect to their value and alignment with the business goals
- Establish capital project program and establish mechanisms to ensure that the projects are prioritized against the business goals
- Consult and coordinate with above site stakeholders to gain alignment on the facility capital needs in terms of value, timelines and criticality to the business (compliance, continuity, effectiveness and profitability)
- Lead the initial planning of potential capital projects (feasibility / concept stage) ensuring that user business and functional requirements are identified, challenged and clarified to ensure that a robust business charter can be defined and approved by the key stakeholders
- Create and align as necessary the execution structure and delivery models for capital projects (both GMP related and non GMP related) reflecting their size, complexity and criticality to the business need
- Deploy industry best practices (Front End Loading, stage gate reviews, VIPs etc.) to increase outcome predictability and mitigate schedule and cost over run
- Coordinate the planning, monitoring and reporting of all capital projects associated with the facility. Ensure accurate forecasting of capital cash flow (based on Actuals) according to agreed targets and performs regular updates in SPOT
- Lead the preparation and review of all capital appropriation requests before submission to Head of Site Engineering and the Site Leadership Team (SLT) for approval
- Ensure to manage risks for capital projects including the monitoring of risk registers and associated mitigation, escalation and communication activities
- Ensure training curriculum of all site PMs executing projects are up to date according all training necessary for execute projects e.g. GOPs, job aids, cost estimation, SPOT, etc.
- Train and develop the capital projects team to make sure that they can fulfill all their assigned goals and contribute to the achievement of the capital project delivery success and Site Engineering goals and KPIs
- Manage the resource loading of the capital projects portfolio providing adequate visibility of needs to all stakeholders and providing development opportunities for site-based staff as appropriate
- Participate in Region / OpU / Global capital projects Community of Practice (CoP) within Global Engineering for knowledge and best practices sharing
- Represent the Engineering Capital Project function in all internal and external audits
- Responsibility to adhere to any applicable EHS requirements.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Capable of providing leadership to teams of Engineers and end users
- Proven capital project delivery experience in a GMP environment
- Thorough knowledge of capital project delivery models and best practice
- Strong ability to manage up and across the organization

$153,600.00 - $241,340.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
